The Rev. Dina van Klaveren
The Rev. Dina van Klaveren joined St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Glenwood in January of 2009. Prior to coming to St. Andrew’s, she was the Associate Rector at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church (www.st-margarets.org) in Annapolis, where she was ordained to the priesthood on The Feast of the Epiphany, January 6th, 2007. Dina attended seminary at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific (www.cdsp.edu) in Berkeley, California, where she completed her Master of Divinity degree in May 2006. Before seminary, Dina was the Associate Dean of Students at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where she counseled students and taught a course entitled “Business for Fine Artists” for six years.
Dina and her husband, Dave Stimler, are both native Californians and met while in college at Whittier College. They have two children, Everett (born in 2002) and Piper (born in 2006), and they live with their dog, cat, two hermit crabs and fish in Western Howard County.
